After two-year preparation, from 1st of October 2009 A-OMEGA, Ltd. started realization of educational project in field of plastic industry under a title „Improvement of Vocational Education in field of Injection Moulding – EDMOULD“.
Project EDMOULD, under project number LLP/LDV/TOI/2009/SK/93100534, is supported through Lifelong Learning Programme, Leonardo da Vinci – Transfer of Innovation. Its main aim is to increase the quality of vocational education in field of plastic processing through transfer of content, educational curriculum and methods used by European partners in preparation of educational program for operators of injection moulding machines in field of plastic industry.
Project is realized through partnership consisting of 7 partners. Three partners are from abroad - ISPA (France – transfer of educational curriculum for further education), MAPRO (Czech Republic – transfer of guide for plastic processing and optimalisation of injection moulding process), and TECOS (Slovenia – transfer of e-learning with educational content in mentioned field).
Very strong partnership is created also from Slovak partners - Slovak plastic cluster, Trenčín Regional Chamber and Prešov Regional Chamber of Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Their role in the project is to test the new modular educational program for 60 participants – employees of companies within Slovak Republic. Also they will assist at searching new lecturers and trainers for the field of vocational education in plastic industry. Preparation of these trainers and lecturers is one of the project aims for its importance, as they are missing in the Slovak labour market.
Except the project partners, also an external evaluator from Austria is involved in the project. His main aim is monitoring and evaluation of system of quality management of the educational process as well as the quality of created educational products.
The coordinator and leader of the project team is a personnel-counselling agency A-OMEGA, Ltd. which manages the whole partner cooperation. A-OMEGA nowadays realizes educational programs for preparation of Operators and Setupers which are also accredited within the Ministry of Education in Slovak Republic.
Project ends in March 2011 with a final product - Modular educational program, later accredited by Slovak Accreditation Commission of Ministry of Education for further education.
